Welcome to Cockroach Paradise Positive: On the positive side, the apartment is very spacious and centrally located, with a large balcony. This was by far the best part of the property and where we ended up spending most of our time. The kitchen is also well equipped. Negative: We were welcomed by a cockroach in the sink instead of the host, and unfortunately, that was not an isolated incident - we encountered more cockroaches during our stay (both alive and dead). As someone who is extremely afraid of them, this was genuinely distressing and made it very difficult for me to relax or sleep. I found myself checking all the rooms before going to bed. The host was kind and polite, but unfortunately not particularly helpful when we reported the problem. When we messaged him about the cockroaches, he said he would come and leave some drain cleaner, but we never found anything left in the apartment and the issue remained unresolved. There were also ants in the kitchen, making it practically impossible to leave any food outside the refrigerator. Even more problematic was the very unpleasant smell coming from the large bathroom, which made the apartment’s biggest and otherwise best bedroom essentially unusable. As a result, we had to sleep in the two smaller bedrooms. Unfortunately, these rooms felt outdated and considerably different from what the photos suggested, which made the experience even more disappointing. I have stayed in many places and made numerous bookings over the years, and I have never had such an unpleasant surprise on this platform. The combination of cockroaches, ants, the bathroom smell, and overall condition of the property significantly affected our stay.
